Our group leader Mark selects a play of his choice each month (though group members can put forward their own suggestions too) and obtains copies of the play from the Herts Performing Arts library. Parts are allocated to attendees by Mark and the play is read through accordingly. No playwright or subject matter is 'off limits', and the group has had a crack at Shakespeare, Brecht, Rattigan, Ayckbourn, Orton, Shaw, Stoppard and a host of other historic and contemporary writers.
